It depends on who the loans are with. Believe it or not, there is a national organization that represents these types of companies. One of this organization's recommendations is that these cash advance places have extended payback options. But you need to ask for them. If you work with these lenders, you may be able to work out a payment plan with them. Also, check with your Attorney General in California. California has been active in cracking down on these type of lenders. Find out if these loans are legal there. Do try to get out of the debt trap cycle. Good luck to you.

The will sue you, win, and get an order to garnish your wages....completely trashing your remaining credit rating. These places are nasty and will do anything to get as much money as possible from you. Their business model is based on the fact that most people won't be able to pay them and will have to pay fees to keep rolling over the loan.

Is there any possible way you can get a 2nd job until these are paid back? A little short term pain may be worth it to salvage your credit and avoid getting sued.

You can see now you will never get out of the hole. Go to a lawyer and file bankruptcy.

Well, you aren't going to be sent to jail. I have owed money before, and the worst that has happened is a bunch of annoying phone calls until I got them paid up. That is probably the same that will happen to you. They can, however, charge interest on the money they advanced you, which means you will have that much more to pay back. You should work your hardest to get them paid off ASAP. Good luck. If you need to know more, just ask.
