cashing a check?
I have a check given to me by my school for a parent plus loan refund. and it has my fathers name on it, but he is in prison and can not cash it. I do have rights to his Parent plus loan account to get information about it.
So, basically I wanted to know if there is a way I can cash the check or deposit it into my account so that it does not go to waste, after all it is my school money and i do have to pay it back myself.

Either get them to give you a new one in your name, or go visit your dad and get him to endorse it.
Who has his power of attorney? They can cash/deposit it.
