Personally, I would file for bankruptcy. I would never resort to crime, I would continue to look for a job. I don’t think a study on this is a way to keep immigrants and minorities down, they have a choice just as anybody else would.

I don’t mind stealing bread if I’m hungry. There are jobs out there, you just have to lower your standards a little bit. There is no shame in bagging groceries, or working at McDonald’s; you should be ashamed if your not working.

Usually if people want to work they will get it. It`s just most people do not want to work a min. wage job . If you are willing to do that you should have no problem getting employment . As far as your debt do not try to blame others , you did that to your self.
A very important principle in life is except responsibility for your own actions. And not give up and persevere.
And jail is not a nice place to end up .

It would depend on the stability of the individual - some can handle stress, some can not. I’m optimistic, so I’d be looking for ways to make it better, not worse by getting myself thrown in jail.

No, I hold myself to a higher standard. I’d bite the bullet and ride the wave until things “started going my way.” Once again, no I would not turn to crime because the chance of getting caught would diminish ALL chances of prosperity if I was locked up.

The circumstances vary depending on the person’s moral and ethical behavior. This does not constitute a “way” of keeping immigrants and minorities down.
