I wouldn't gamble using credit cards.

Save that for meals, hotels etc.

Bring cash to gamble, so you don't leave with a ton of credit card debt with high interest rates.

I hope this helps!

Your best bet (no pun intended) is to pay for all your meals / hotels / rental car / etc with credit card. The advantage to this is that you can track your expenses after your trip, plus you will be able to see if there is anything out of the ordinary when your statement arrives.

You should also bring some cash for gambling (if that interests you) plus you'll need cash for tips. As another member mentioned, go to your local bank and get a stack of 50 - 1 dollar bills. You'll need for anything from the bell hop to the free valet parking provided at all the hotels.

credit card would be the safest, if your bank is in las vegas. the ATMs in the casinos charge alot to process money. so if you dont have a bank that has a branch in las vegas bring cash for gambling. or go over on purcheses. and take an extra 20.

Cash + Travelers Checks = For gambling, transportation & tips>carry lots of $1 bills for tips

Credit card - For Hotel & shopping

If you're a player(gambler) charge meals at your hotel to your room. A LV hotel is much more likely to comp a first time players meals than they are his/her room.

Later: If it will help you any, the Bank of America has 5 branch offices in Las Vegas.

If this is for gambling, never use credit cards for "cash advances" or "cash like" transactions. Anytime you receive cash from a credit card, most banks charge a hugh fee for the advance, plus a higher interest rate for the advance that starts the day you take it, with no 25 day grace period.

Use a debit card, traveler's checks or cash only.

As far as everything else, such as food, hotel, etc, using a credit card is the same as everywhere else.

If you use your credit card, you might want to warn your credit card company. I didn't and they put on block on my credit card because of suspicious activity (Vegas was different).
